Help for teachers

Teachers,
Below you will find helpful information to use for your Reading classes.

I have posted:

1. A newsletter that is directed to parents. It gives parents tips on how to help their children of all ages become better readers.

2. A PowerPoint presentation on a powerful novel Touching Spirit Bear.

3. Two word documents with a total of 35 books. They would be useful for giving book talks in your classes.

4. A spread sheet with a number of books that I recommend for your classroom library with an introduction. The introduction is a letter to the students explaining the rules and my philosophy on a classroom library.

5. To help you choose even more books to use in your classroom I have included some research that I have done about the use of controversial books in the classroom and some educational journals that give updated lists and reviews on books.
